Installing the Pro-Oiler on a KTM 950 Adventure

The instructions that come with the Pro-Oiler are detailed - more than detailed actually, they are comprehensive. The only thing they really lack are detailed instructions for specific bikes but that's impossible so this page is to help you with the KTM 950 Adventure. I'm not including a lot of specific info that is available on their site but if you email them they are fast and helpful. I think it's the nicest chain oiler on the market.

The only hassle with this bike is the limited clearence for the twin nozzle set up. It was easily solved by drilling three hold behind the rearmost bolt of the chain fin under the swingarm. Connect the holes and file them out to form a slot to allow adjustment of the nozzle with the chain. I made a small stainless bracket to raise the nozzle and protect it from the chain. Route the tube up to the tool box and the included bottle.

The important wire is the signal wire from the speedo. Find the three wire connecter from the speedo and tap into the orange/black wire and run it back to the control box.

For power I tapped into the taillight lead (brown = ground, white = switched hot power). It's nice to have a molex release pin and pliers as it makes the job very neat but you could do it with inline power taps. The box fit neatly under the right side panel, the pump in the toolbox with the oil bottle and the vent hose around the lip of the tool box. I made a simple bracket for the triple clamp but I'll replace it when I get the new RTT damper/triple clamp.
