This is Monday night, or rather Tuesday morning. The rally is going to start today and we're still trying to finish the bike. We have plans to take it to the "Ear" bar tonight for the weekly "bikers hang" but there are all the little things that need to be taken care of - 99% done 20% to go. We got the bike running and took it up to Harriman Park over the weekend to see if everything worked and low and behold it did. Everyone liked the way the bike looked with out the fairing - very streetfighterish - but the fairing (a Laverda SCF that we modified a fair amount) will tie it all together and is part of my final vision. So Scott and I work Monday until 5:30 am trying to finish. We both manage a few hours sleep before we have to paint Scott's kitchen - the domestic price to be paid for all the neglected home duties. I've promised Val (my girlfriend) that we'll go camping so that's not quite as hard to do as painting a kitchen. While the bike may never be truly "finished" we're as done as we can be for the MOA rally. Here (right) is the final bike as we're going to ride to the BMW national rally in Rhinebeck. We'll post a report on how the bike performs and how we fair in the "Sports Modified" category at the rally. Stay tuned... | ||||||
