Wired for Safety

The pipe came back from HPC and fit like a tight glove. I had to modify my exhaust nut wrench to fit over the oversize exhaust but everything is going together. This weekend is the 4th of July holiday and there's nobody around so I spend about 40 hours in three days drilling and safety wiring the bike. Safety wire is thin stainless steel wire that goes through holes that are drilled in fasteners. It's required of all motorcycles that are going to spend time on the track and since we'd like to race our boxer I have to drill the wheel bolts, all oil caps and plugs, and all adjusters - basically anything that could fall off or spill oil needs to be wired

Here I'm covering the spoke nipples with silicon (household type) to seal the wheel so I can use tubeless tires. I got the tip from Kenny Buchannan who laced up the rear wheel and so far (three years now) it's held air just fine. I would use a lot less if I was to do it again but I was being cautious here.
